Carmelin:
     Who, Where, How?

You will find a warm welcome at Carmelin from Jane and John Grierson.

John, an author and columnist, works from home. Jane, who is the locally celebrated author of "Knickers in the Fridge" works from home, too, so there is usually at least one of us around to see to your needs.

You are welcome to bring your pet, as we are very animal-friendly. Most dogs are welcome as long as they are not cat-chasers, but please talk to us first so we can discuss your requirements.

We have three cats of our own. Tilly, our staffie-cross, will welcome you like a long-lost friend, and Hintza, our large Ridgeback, is also very friendly.

DIRECTIONS BY CAR OR ON FOOT

BY CAR:

As you enter the Lizard Village, you will see a large, either muddy or dusty parking area on your right. In front of you, is a much smaller triangular area laughingly called the village green. Can't fault the local Council's sense of humour. Do a half-right turn, going between the two areas abovementioned, for about fifty yards, keeping the large area on your right. Then do a sharp right turn, roughly opposite the Smugglers Chippy, and proceed past the grey public loos on your left. You will now be in Pentreath Lane.

Press on for about 400 yards, through a double bend where the lane narrows, and we are the bungalow, second on the right, after the bends, clearly marked, "Carmelin" with a small slate chalet in the front garden.  There is parking for one car in the driveway, also clearly marked. Your private entrance is right in front of you.
